But here’s the problem: most advice online. They are either outdated, overhyped, or straight-up unrealistic. People telling you to “just start dropshipping” like it’s 2017 again.

In this post, I’ll break down the best side hustles to start in 2026 based on what’s actually working right now. I will also show you what not to do (I learned that the hard way, unfortunately for me).

You offer a package for $150/month. You get just 10 clients?

That’s $1,500/month, that’s side hustle money.

My own mistake I wish to forget:

I used to write everything manually. It took me forever and I burnout fast.

Once I started using AI tools to assist (remember not to replace me). My content output doubled and clients didn’t complain. They just paid for job well done.

I also definitely did.

This is one of my favorites. Why do I say so?

Because you just create once and sell forever.

Why it works really well:

People are willing to pay for shortcuts to get what they need.

If you can help someone save time, avoid mistakes, or make money. People are willing to pay.

This is a real scenario:

It might not be life-changing yet. But when you stack multiple products? You will what I am talking about.

My very own failure:

Affiliate marketing gets a bad reputation sometimes, when you search online. It’s mostly because people expect quick money.

My own insight:

One of my blog posts made me $100 from a single affiliate program, a months after I published it.

These is what you sell:

There is no inventory and no upfront cost.

My mistake:

How to Choose the Right Side Hustle (Don’t Skip This)

Let me be very blunt. Not every hustle is for you.

You need to ask yourself these questions:

• Do I prefer talking, writing, or creating?
• Do I want fast money or long-term income?
• How much time can I realistically commit?

My honest advice:

Just Pick ONE.

And stick with it for at least 90 days.

Even when it feels very slow. Especially then stick with it.

Because that’s where most people will quit.

The Truth Nobody Tells You

Side hustles aren’t magic or a get rich quick scheme.

You won’t make $1,000 in your first week (unless you’re extremely lucky or already skilled and already paying customers).

But there one thing I will tell you is if you stay consistent.

I can assure you that the results you start seeing it.

And then the momentum will kick in.

And everything will start falling into place.

My Final Thoughts

If I could go back and start over, I would do one thing differently:

👉 Focus on one hustle, master it, and ignore the noise.

That’s just it.

Stop jumping around and stop chasing trends every week.

Just be consistency, that’s all you need.
