My journey into the digital world began in 2015, driven purely by curiosity and determination. I built my very first website after a friend introduced me to a simple blog he had created using Google Blogspot. That single moment sparked something powerful in me, the realization that I, too, could build something on the internet and share it with the world.

I am a self-taught website developer. At the time, I had no mentor, no formal training, and no clear blueprint to follow. Everything I learned came from research, experimentation, and countless hours of trial and error. I taught myself how websites worked by breaking things, fixing them, and improving them one step at a time.

While working as a manager at a friend’s Bet9ja store, where I had access to a computer, free internet, and steady electricity. I took full advantage of the opportunity to sharpen my skills. During this period, I built my first fully functional website, Nigeria Health Care Center, a blog focused on health news sourced from trusted platforms like the World Health Organization (WHO) and reputable media outlets.

The website began attracting traffic from different countries, which motivated me to publish more consistently and improve the site’s structure and design. Although the platform gained visibility, it generated little to no income. Still, I continued refining my skills, editing HTML pages manually, improving layouts, and learning how the web truly worked behind the scenes. As my knowledge grew, I purchased a custom .com domain, taking my first step toward building a more professional online presence.

Eventually, burnout set in due to a lack of monetization. I attempted to use Google AdSense but earned very little, and due to inexperience, my account was later disabled. That setback taught me important lessons about online business, patience, and compliance. I later launched 9jastalkative.com, a Nigerian news blog, which also failed, not due to lack of effort, but because I still hadn’t mastered sustainable monetization.

In 2020, my journey took a major leap forward when I joined the Google Africa Scholarship Program, where I trained in mobile app development using Java and Android Studio, during a time when Kotlin and Flutter were emerging as modern alternatives. Through dedication and consistent learning, I reached the final stage of the program. Although I didn’t win, the experience validated my growth and strengthened my confidence as a developer.

Following that experience, I partnered with friends to launch jkfirstguide.com, a digital services company offering website development, graphic design, and mobile app development. Despite the strong vision, securing consistent clients proved challenging, and the company eventually shut down. Still, the experience added depth to my understanding of digital entrepreneurship.

I never stopped learning.

In January 2024, I embraced AI-powered content creation, learning how to use tools like ChatGPT to generate image prompts, write code more efficiently, and accelerate content development. This shift transformed how I build, teach, and create online.

In December 2024, I co-relaunched Original Wholesales, a beauty, cosmetics, and personal care brand. Originally a B2B business, we successfully transitioned it into a B2C company, expanding our reach and building a stronger connection with everyday consumers.

By 2025, I began giving back at scale, training over 150+ individuals in website development using WordPress and Elementor, helping beginners gain practical, real-world digital skills.

Now in 2026, I founded FirstGuide247.com, a platform created to bring everything I have learned over the years into one place. First Guide 247 is built to provide 100% beginner-friendly, step-by-step guides and tutorials, alongside honest reviews of tools and products I have personally used and tested. The goal is simple: to help people learn, build, and grow online with clarity and confidence anytime, anywhere.

First Guide 247 is not just a website. It is the result of years of learning, failure, growth, and persistence, and a commitment to making the digital journey easier for those starting today.
